From My Kitchen Counter to Your Walls: The Story Behind Counter Culture

If you know me, you know my world is color. Seriously, I’m obsessed. My studio in Kensington is a kaleidoscope, and if I’m being honest, my kitchen is usually the same. I've always found it a little… boring that the places we spend so much time—like grabbing a coffee or pouring some juice—often get stuck with the most uninspired decor. Those everyday moments? They deserve a glow-up.

For a while, I’ve been thinking about the objects that live on our kitchen counters. That hot sauce bottle you reach for when dinner needs a kick. The seltzer you grab when you need a refresh. The coffee brand you start your day with. These are constant companions!

And it hit me: What if these everyday products could talk to us? What if every time I squeezed some hot sauce on my tacos, the bottle was a cheeky reminder to "add heat" to my life? What if my orange juice bottle told me to embrace a "fresh start" every morning? What if the soap by my sink was a subtle nudge to "clean slate" and begin again?

That's the kick of the new Counter Culture collection: my way of turning those utilitarian items into vibrant, graphic affirmations. I wanted to transform familiar packaging into bold, pop-art pieces that spark joy and give you that little mental high-five you didn't even know you needed.

Each piece in this collection—from the zesty Fresh Start OJ to the punchy Courage Hot Sauce and the comforting It’s Gonna Be OK Coffee—is designed to infuse your space with optimism, personality, and a little less boredom.

So, next time you’re in your kitchen, grabbing that seltzer or pouring some coffee, I hope one of these prints gives you that little moment of connection. They’re meant to be tiny bursts of courage, joy, and permission to hit the reset button, all wrapped up in a colorful, graphic package.
